Yamaha Becomes Top Selling Brand among 20-25 Foot OpenBow Runabout Boats
Kennesaw, Ga - June 4, 2009 - Yamaha WaterCraft Group, a division of Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, today announced that Yamaha is the #1 selling brand in the category of 20' - 25' open-bow runabout boats. According to the most recent registration data from InfoLink for the top 6 states (CA, FL, MI, NY, TX, WA), for the period of April 2008 through March 2009, sales of Yamaha's 21 and 23 foot boat lines combined outsold the combined sales of every other brand in the segment for the first time. "There's a great deal of competition in the 20 to 25 foot open-bow runabout as it remains a highly desirable target market with a lot of volume potential for boat manufacturers," said Mark Spears, President of Yamaha Watercraft Group.
